Recent Doubletree Review: "A former resident of Tallahassee - I knew the location of the hotel was exactly what I was looking for. Right in the heart of downtown - within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and who wouldn't like being greeted with a warm chocolate cookie! Our room was very comfortable and I felt the cleaning staff actually did a better than expected job. The only negatives I would say are that the elevators are slow & they charge for parking. The hotel parking should be free - especially when they don't close the security arms in the garage - so anyone can park there whether they paid or not!"

| We arrived 2 hrs before check-in and our room was not ready yet. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a room with a magnificent view of the capital building. Location was great- good restaurants within walking distance and 5 min. drive from the FSU stadium. Room was very nice, staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. |

| I had stayed here before and enjoyed very much so the second stay was just as nice.
We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the curteous staff. |

| I stayed at the Doubletree to attend a concert at the civic center and couldn't have been more satisfied with the location. Easy 15 minute walk to the venue through a good neighborhood. The hotel itself was quite nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely appointed and very clean. My only complaint is that the walls are a little thin and you can hear it every time another guest shuts a door or if your neighbor has their TV up a little too loud. The wifi wasn't working when I was there, so that was a little frustrating, but not a huge deal. |

| We were so encouraged when we checked in. The front desk staff made us feel welcomed and were happy to accomodate our request for adjoining rooms. They told us that they would code our room keys so that, when we left the hotel early the next morning that we could use our key to get out of the garage and the fee would be transferred to the bill. Hold that thought.. I'll come back to it.
The rooms were clean, but aging. The TV reception was grainy. They sent engineering up, but he was unable to fix the problem. The pool was ok - nothing to write home about though. Luckily kids don't really care as long as they have a pool.
We went to the restaurant downstairs (Jacob's) and the person seating us asked us if we would like a drink, but they couldn't tell us what wines they had and no wine list was available. Our server was not prompt, the food took too long and wasn't very good. Our server would remove glasses, but not any of the used plates.
The following morning we had to leave the hotel at 6 AM. When we went to leave the parking facility, it would not only take our room key, as we were told it would, it the machine would not take any of our credit cards. Luckily we had cash on us or we would have been late for our race.
The place was ok - but for the price, we expected a little more. |

| While the bed was comfortable and the room was nicely decorated, the walls are thin and not well insulated. The room next door had there TV on until 3AM, and my wife could not get to sleep. She says it was like having the TV in our room. In the morning, I could hear a lot of what was happening in the neighboring rooms.
We had breakfast in the hotel resturant, and the service was poor, however the resturant manager did make a very generous adjustment to our tab as we left to make amends. Overall, I doubt we will stay at this hotel again, though we will be visiting Tallahassee again in the future. |

| Comfort of hotel room was ok. No refrigerator or microwave. No continental breakfast and restaurant onsite is expensive. Have to pay for internet service in your room. Have to pay for parking (added to your bill)but gate is always opened. Anyone can just go in. Parking is very tight and your car can get hit. Hotel service was good. |
