| Our room was on the sixth floor - two floors beneath the bar/club on the rooftop. While trying to sleep, all we could hear was the DJ playing techno/club music until 2 am. When I brought the issue during checkout, the employee merely apologized and didn't offer to do anything to make up for it (and still even charged us $12 for the valet service). |

| The hotel was centrally located, the hotel staff was attentive. The towels were plush and the room was exceptionally clean. We had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs-it was great! Room service was received as requested. I would stay at this hotel at my next visit. |

| The hotel is very nice. It has a great bar and restaurant. Also, nice morning bistro. However, the bed is only full size (not queen/king) and the bathroom is a joke. Two walls of the bathroom are glass sliding walls (no privacy) and the shower floor is composed of large rocks (rough on the feet). I will go back for the hotel amenities but not the r oom. |

| Although the hotel was recently renovated, the rooms were not very nice and the bathroom was a glass offed corner of the room, no privacy and worst of all the windows didn't open!
The service was good, the cleanliness was poor in room, and the restaurants were good but pricey. |

| Because of a very nice bar located on top of this hotel, there were a lot of people in our room floor that spent all night slamming doors and talking loud in the hallway. Perhaps they had too many drinks at that bar! |

| For a business class hotel, this property is over the top into "trendiness." Good location. Rooftop bar is great. Shula's is a plus. Attitude at front desk is a bit "I'm so cool." Maybe on South Beach, it works, but not in Tallahassee. |

| Unfortunately this hotel began with a great rating until the valet serviced locked the keys into my car. The valet attendant attempted to pawn blame on others rather than apologize for the error. Although the hotel comped our valet parking fees as well as the "pop a lock" service we were overall unhappy with this experience. The hotel itself (i.e. room) was comfortable and worth what we paid. The only complaint with the hotel service was in that the hotel would not allow late checkout services that were advertised at check in. Otherwise, the receptionist was very sweet. |

| Upon check-in, I was hopeful. Friendly, courteous staff allowed for an early check-in and complimentary bottled water. I get to my room and love the style, especially the bathroom.
I'd come in on the redeye and wanted to relax, so I turned on the TV. There was no remote control - not a big deal, but strange for such a "nice" hotel. I check the channel sheet and start flipping channels - nothing. Only one of 30 channels worked (E! Entertainment). I manually tried to reprogram the TV as well, with no luck - that was the only incoming signal that worked.
Well, can't do much about that. I had a short stay and wasn't going to bother the staff about it - I could just as easily pull up netflix or something later if I needed to. I decide to plop my iPhone on the docking station provided so I could relax to some light sounds... docking station didn't work with my model. Really? Well, that was a surprise, but I guess they just aren't as modern as they want to be.
Take a nap, leave for business, and get back around 7pm. I use the "ICE" system they keep toting (essentially touch screen computer in the room) to order dinner. Get a call 15 minutes later from the restaurant (Shula's 347) that the menu I ordered from was old and they didn't have what I wanted.
Really?
Digital menu that can be updated in the system in a short amount of time was... old?
It wasn't a horrible experience, but it certainly made me think twice about coming back. It was almost like a facade - totally impressive first impression and then you start to look closer and realize a motel 6 has better TV options and ANY menu that's current would have been better than this ICE system. The browser on the computer was so outdated most sites didn't work anyway, so I just used the stuff I brought with me for my stay.
I can appreciate what they are "trying" to do, but they aren't quite there yet. |
