Recent Red Roof Inn Review: "Like most other Red Roof Inns, the room has really solid and seemingly sound proof walls. If you've ever been in a motel room with paper thin walls, you know how important this can be. The quiet room coupled with the fact that the AC worked very well (which is much needed in humid Tallahassee) resulted in great night's rest. Towels and linens were very clean. Only compaint is that they provide super puffy pillows that I felt like I was going to drown within (I prefer firmer pillows). I was also disappointed there was no pool, though I admittedly did not check beforehand to see if they had one."

| This could be a good hotel, but it's clearly on the way down. Right now it's the little things, but I can see it morphing into larger issues in a hurry. The room was clean, not smelly, it had free wireless, but: 1. the phones didn't work. They were struck by lightning within an hour or two of our arrival at 3:00 on Friday, but were never fixed. The desk clerk, as I heard her make one call, seemed unable to find anyone in the home office who cared about no phones being available. 2. Unless one runs the AC on very cold all the time, the room gets damp. It never started to smell, but the bed sheets got a little damp/clingy, and the carpet felt damp to the bare foot. 3. The ice machines were empty/out of order. 4. The outlet by the vanity sink was dead. And if you couldn't tell from the initial website, there is no hairdryer in the room, and there's definitely no breakfast, but we knew this going in, so it's not a knock, just a reminder. So, the overall experience wasn't bad, and the price was good, but the small things are kind of starting to spiral downwards and the management doesn't seem disturbed by that trend. |

| Excellent hotel for the money; room was very clean upon checking in; room was comfortable and quiet with nice furniture and amenities; the staff was very helpful and friendly. The pet-friendly aspect of the hotel was a outstanding. |

| We've stayed here many times on frequent visits to Tallahassee, and we've not had a bad experience yet. The location is convenient as well. |

| This is my second time at this hotel. It is a very basic hotel, but it is clean and the rooms are comfortable. I especially appreciate that I can bring my medium size dog, saving kenneling expense and that the hotel charges no extra fee for pets. That is rare.
Yes there are no microfridges in the rooms or a continental breakfast, but for a reasonably priced stay to visit my Seminole son, it works for me. |
